Encoding: When switching between different platforms the encoding must be consistent. Otherwise the guillemot characters («») will not be shown consistently. On the Windows platform the iso-8859-1 encoding is set be default on Mac “Mac Roman”. At least in our courses we will use the iso-8859-1 encoding by default. You can switch the encoding in the Eclipse Preferences: General→Workspace→Text file encoding→Other
