• Download “Eclipse Standard 4.3.2” from
  http://www.eclipse.org/downloads
  in the version for your operating system.
• Unzip the file to a location with a rather short path (otherwise paths might get too long).
• The file you need to start is eclipse.exe
• For your workspace you should as well choose a location with a rather short path.

• (Not required for the first assignment.)
• Download “astah* community 6.8.0” from
  https://members.change-vision.com/files/astah_community/6_8_0

• We recommend TortoiseSVN and/or Eclipse with the Subversive-Plugin.
• To set up SVN together with Eclipse you can use the short svn setup guide below.
• If you have trouble with accessing the SVN, consult our SVN Troubleshooting checklist!

• Select “Install New Software…” from the “Help” menu.
• Select “Kepler - http://download.eclipse.org/releases/kepler” in the edit field.
• After a while the list box is filled. Open the subtree “Collaboration”
• Select the 6 entries with “Subversive” in their name ¹⁾ similar to the Subversive installation instructions in step 4.
• Follow the description in this article.

After the installation of the Subversion Client you should configure the access to the repository where you will store your exercises.

1. In Eclipse, go to the menu entry Window → Open Perspective → SVN Repository Exploring
2. … choose New Repository Location in the context menu of the SVN Repository View which just appeared
3. … a window will open. Enter the following:
   • Repository URL for exercise group XX:
     https://svn.iai.uni-bonn.de/repos/IAI_Software/se/oosc2014/groupXX/
   • Your SVN account name is “oosc.surname”. You should have received your SVN password by email.
